In one final attempt to make the holidays last just a little longer we’re just about to pull up stumps and make our maiden voyage with our new camper trailer for a mini getaway at the beach. I’ve done my research, prepare a meal plan, packed the sunscreen and bug spray (and million other things we probably won’t need or use) and today we’re off.
It’s going to be exciting. Our first attempt at real camping with kids. I know we’re going to mess it up and come back with a much more realistic understanding of what we really need to take, but I also know we’re going to have a whole lot of fun learning. We’ve got a spot booked at a beach side caravan park and the girls are hanging out to start building sand castles. We chose the beach as a soft starter option – but I think it will probably become a regular January event. We’ll man-up and become real tough campers another time ….. maybe.
So the blog will be having its own little mini-break for a few days. Camper trailer time has been declared a technology free zone, on agreement from the entire family. (What can I say, they tied both my hands behind my back threatened to tickle me!) Yes, I am scared …. but I think I’ll cope and perhaps return a better person for the internet free time. (Either that or I’ll be sneaking off for a quick fix with the McDonald’s Wifi in the nearest town.)
So until next week, when we all battle the madness that is the first week of the school year, take care my friends. And think of me (and Kermit the camper-trailer) as you snuggle up in your comfy beds tonight ……..

Mr M used to go campervaning with his parents when he was young. He absolutely refuses to camping or campervaning now. If it doesn’t have 4 walls, a roof and running water he’s not interested. Enjoy your time away.
Love & stuff

Have a fabulous time! And enjoy your mini-break away from bloggy things…
PS. Life’s a beach is one of my favourite lines from a Whitlams song! If that’s where you got it from
