It’s been about 10 nights straight with several trip up and down to the girls and despite all my years of practice I’m still really crap at handling my tired self. Sometimes practice really doesn’t make for perfect! Still …. one thing I have learned is that this too shall pass. And to be grateful for the sleep I normally get.

Funny how lack of sleep can totally obliterate your brain. (Or is that just me?) I’m back to doing totally ridiculous things like mixing up the girls lunches and sending them of to school with the wrong books and notes.
And I’d just managed to convince the I’m smarter than they are after the last sleepless episode of sickness back in June.
No Fair. I want my sleep back.
The worst of it is I’m a really cranky tired person. I’ve been battling to keep it all together and not lose my patience – but after 10 nights I’m really struggling. Need to put up some warning signs for me kids. Something along the lines of
Don’t mess with the grumpy mummy!
