Thankful Thursday ~ joining the crew.

I have been meaning to join up with Kate Says Stuff and her  Thankful Thursday crew forever – but until today it’s just never happened.   You see I’m a dedicated believer in the principles of being thankful or grateful or just plain appreciative for what you have.  It works on so many levels and it makes good old-fashioned (not so common) sense.  So in my mind any chance to shout out to the world what you’re thankful for should be taken.

My new look blog.  I can’t even begin to tell you the troubles I’ve had making this happen.  After some hiccups getting it professionally done, on a whim I decided I could do it myself.  (Hello – are you mad Caz??   Well no, but being a little crazy certainly does help.)   I’m now almost on a first name basis with the help support guy at Blue Host after having to have my blog both reset and reinstalled over the past week.   (Big shout out to Blue Host – they have been very responsive and easy to understand.) But after much fiddling and a little play around with some fun graphic I’m really happy.  I’ve saved myself a bucket load of money and actually like what I’ve done.     So thankful I gave it a go.

Learning to live in the moment. Big concept I know, but one that has been taking up space in my mind.  I’ve finally decided that you just have to live what you have and enjoy it.  Each day is wrapped in emotions and feeling that sometimes don’t want you to believe how close you are to living your dream.   But my reality is that I am.   So no matter how I ‘feel’ I’m going to appreciate every moment of everyday.  I’m going to live content in the individual moments of my life.   Well – I’m going to try really  hard to anyway.  (You might want to remind me next time you hear me having a grumble.)

My new phone.  I’ve been putting up with totally crappy service for about six months now.  Finally I called to make a complaint and the company I was with agreed and allowed me to break my contract without fees.   I’ve switched providers and updated my phone and hallelujah I have service.  People can call  and actually talk to me!   I can now use twitter and facebook while I’m waiting for the kids to finish their swimming and dancing lessons.  Trust me this is a beautiful things when you’re used to just watching that spinning arrow/circle thingy rotate endlessly.   So thankful I made that call.
